Room 4 have had a busy few weeks!

Check out some of the things we've been doing.

Room 4's Halloween costumes.

Look at our grass heads!

We are very excited and can not wait for their hair to start to grow!

We are still Crumpole mad! We made some tents for the Crumpoles and hope that some Crumpoles might come and stay in our classroom soon!

We think the Crumpoles would like our tents.

November Update

Primary 2 enjoyed their Halloween Party. We had some super costumes this year!

We are all looking forward to transforming the hall into a winter wonderland for the school concert in December.

Room 3 have been using their ICT skills to design DVD covers and have written their own blurbs on the back.

Room 4 will be doing a class assembly this month.  They will be showing the other boys and girls their class work on the Garden topic and singing some great songs too!

Room 9 have been learning about various artists and investigating different techniques to use in their art work.

Fun Times

Primary 2 enjoyed their sponsored Fun Day.  Mrs McCauley had us all hot and sweaty as she lead us in some hula hooping fun.  Thank you to all our friends and family who came to join us.  We hope you weren't too tired when you got home!

Hula Hoop Time!
It is not long before our family and friends join in too.

Time for a fresh fruit smoothie after all that work!

Mrs Mcaulay thinks she may have seen a Crumpole in the gym hall on Monday when we were hula hooping!  We made some Crumpole masks and hope that more Crumpoles will come to visit soon.
Is that a real Crumpole hiding at the back?

High Flyers!

Room 4 enjoyed making their own kites.

As part of our garden topic Room 4 made some kites using bamboo canes and plastic bags.  We decorated our kites and then took them outside to fly!

Termly Update : September 2010

Primary 2 pupils have now settled into their new classrooms. They have been making fantastic use of the outdoors to do active maths sessions and having fun with musical maths in class. The topic this term is The Garden and the children are already enthusiastic about this. Can pupils please bring in a photograph of their garden for use in the classroom. Active learning sessions in the school hall will commence on Monday 13th September and will involve an interdisciplinary approach to learning based on The Garden topic. This should be a super experience for the pupils and many thanks to the mums and dads who volunteered to help.
Primary 2 pupils in Room 3 have been making kites as part of their science experiments and are waiting for a windy day to try these out!
