Termly Update : September 2010

Primary 2 pupils have now settled into their new classrooms. They have been making fantastic use of the outdoors to do active maths sessions and having fun with musical maths in class. The topic this term is The Garden and the children are already enthusiastic about this. Can pupils please bring in a photograph of their garden for use in the classroom. Active learning sessions in the school hall will commence on Monday 13th September and will involve an interdisciplinary approach to learning based on The Garden topic. This should be a super experience for the pupils and many thanks to the mums and dads who volunteered to help.
Primary 2 pupils in Room 3 have been making kites as part of their science experiments and are waiting for a windy day to try these out!

P2 Room 4: It was great to see your classroom and all your work last week. I loved the Crumpoles!

Hi Ciaran's Mum

Thank you for your message. Last week a little Crumpole looked at us through the window! We even received a letter from the Crumpoles one day. It was a very nice letter and we are looking forward to writing letters back to them.

Hi Primary 2 Room 4,

I can't believe that a Crumpole looked through the window when you were reading Flat Stanely. How exciting!!!

I am sure that I saw one in the playground before the bell went at 3 o'clock today. He was climbing the ladder at the chimney! He hid when all the boys and girls came out. Do you think that he was up to mischief?

Hi P2 R4

It's very exciting to be able to communicate in this way.

These Crumpoles are turning up everywhere. This morning, when I was in the garden feeding Freddie the rabbit, one was watching me from the trampoline! Do you think he had been jumping there all night?

Have a great day - it's nearly the weekend!

Hi Room 4!

I haven't seen a Crumpole yet so I think they must be staying inside in all this rain! I loved the kites you made - well done!

Hi Scott's Mum,

Do you think you try to catch the Crumpole next time? We would like one for our classroom!
